"Cameo"
Large oval cameo in ivory late 19th or early 20th; it is mounted as a pendant and represents the face of a sleeping woman in very high relief. The nose is fine, the mouth small, the face is soft, serene. Her hair is very finely sculpted with flowers and ears of wheat; she wears a pearl necklace. Remarkable work. The bail is gold. This rare gem is in good condition; it can be worn with a chain but a very simple cord or velvet or silk would suit it perfectly too. H: 5cm, 6.5cm with bail L: 3.9cm
