Circa 1900 -1930 Ottoman Empire A long kaftan or indoor coat in Indigo woven cotton and silk with Bayadère decor. Surprising glaze of this Gros de Tours type weave varying from indigo to violet and Pastel. Crossed in front with indigo and cream woven cotton lining, this dress recalls the Banyans of the 18th century by its preciousness and its egg white icing reminiscent of the first Indian dresses dating from Prohibition under Louis XIV. A casual "Object" to wear in the evening or to receive at home. Personal collection collected in Bursa in the 1990s. No defects. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Thin waist in 38/40 woman or Man 52.. Shoulders 43 cm, sleeves 65 cm, height 120 cm, chest 100 cm.
