Lamp Signed Jean-jacques Lachenal 1920 flag

Object description :

"Lamp Signed Jean-jacques Lachenal 1920"
Rare lamp base signed Jean-Jacques Lachenal which was made in the workshops of Châtillon (Hauts de Seine) in the 1920s.

Son of Edmond Lachenal who will contribute to the revival of ceramics at the end of the 19th century, Jean -Jacques Lachenal took over the reins of the family business in 1911, making his workshops a creative center for many artists between 1920 and 1939.

Our lamp base (which is not a vase transformed into a lamp!) has a decor influenced by oriental and ottoman styles.

The lampshade is in the spirit of the original one wanted by the designer. It was redone identically in the 1970s with pendants and its wooden beads (beech and mahogany).

Total height of the lamp is 57 cm, the lamp base is 27 cm high and 24 cm in diameter.
