Object description :

"Large Louis XVI Ornamental Vase In Turquoise Porcelain And Rich Gilt Bronze Trim 44.5cm"
Important turquoise porcelain vase, enamel glaze with crackle effect. It is probably a Chinese vase or in the style of China. Superb mount in chiseled bronze and gilded with fine gold in the Louis XVI style: the vase rests on a square section base decorated with oak leaves and a row of pearls. The finely chiseled handles adorned with laurel wreath and rosettes. 19th century work in the style of Beurdeley or attributed to Beurdeley. Alfred Beurdeley. Son and collaborator of Louis-Auguste-Alfred, he followed his trade and specialized in his turn in the copying of 18th century furniture, of which he executed only four or five copies of very high quality; his ornamental bronzes were of great price. The pieces of furniture executed according to his own models are very rare, they were moreover inspired by Antiquity. His business continued until 1895, when he liquidated it along with an important personal collection of works of art. NB: the digital camera does not render the real color, the vase is indeed a deep turquoise blue Superb large-format piece, to be placed in the center of a piece of furniture or a fireplace. Strong furnishing effect for a great decorative object. Excellent condition, no accidents, very beautiful, well-preserved and fresh gilding. Height 44.5cm
