Bronze statuette depicting Lakshmi once holding a cup (diya) serving as an oil lamp (Paavai Vilakku). She is richly adorned: bracelets on her arms, wrists and ankles, necklaces, tiara and large earrings. She is dressed in a simple skirt down to the calves, the bare upper body with a generous chest. Two peacocks sit on each shoulder. The elaborate hair is contained in a high bun, a long braid reaching down to the small of the back.
