15th cty, large wooden carved gothic panel with 2 upper grotesques panel and 6 towel folds gothic design
Very large oak carved Gothic period rising , composed of 8 carved wooden panels:
*the upper 2 with symmetrical relief design of grotesques, windings and stylized leaves
*The others with decoration of nice towel folds
Note that the sleepers panels are also same period. It was probably originally a late 15th cty side panel of a precious cabinet, because there is no trace of hinge or lock. This panel could nevertheless be used usefully today for a door project, or be presented on a wall as a simple highly decorative panel.
Condition: the door was formerly stripped (they had to be varnished?) because it has a very beautiful gray patina.
To report a weakness of the central vertical pillar of the lower part, with xylophagous holes - there is no longer any problem on this side, the door is no longer ... Inhabited!
Dimensions: Height 193cm and width 67cm
A lot of charm for this authentic 1st part of French Renaissance vestige.
