Louis XIV style sheath in royal red marble from Belgium and white Carrara marble. The flared Shaft is clad in white Carrara marble carved with spandrels. The upper part in molded royal red marble is underlined and decorated with white Carrara marble, the sheath ends with a molded quadrangular base. Quality work from the second half of the 19th century both in the choice of marbles used and in the execution and proportions.
