Painter of portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and watercolourist. Pupil of Matet and Picot at the School of Fine Arts in Paris where he entered in 1850. He participated in the Paris Salon between 1855 and 1881. It is in the museum of Avignonet Carpentras. He is one of the little masters of painting. Painting that belonged to René Maurizat.
