Impressive painting, oil on wood panel (oak), representing "the departure of travelers in front of an inn. In the foreground: Courtesan in Amazon saddle (riding with both legs on the same side), carrying a small dog in her hands , surrounded by a knight in the process of giving coins to the owner of the inn. At the bottom a street dog doing his business. In the background: landscape with a cloudy sky. Workshop or circle of Philips Wouwerman ( 1619-1668) In unrestored condition On the reverse: red wax seal.
