Bronze candlestick, 17th century
This candlestick is set on a stepped circular base. Column and capital are screwed on a big wrought iron rod ended by a pyramidal stop. Column is decorated with a succession of discs and a cordate knop. A saucer comes between column and capital, that are lost-wax cast, as shown by the marks of fixing of the core to the mould.
Excellent condition, nice quality.
