"Charming Turn-of-the-century German Bisque Subject “puppet Show”"
This charming turn-of-the-century German bisque subject depicts a childlike scene: the older washerwoman sister improvises a puppet show for her brother and sister, in front of a country well.
Engraved with the number 4461, this subject measures 8″ long and 4 1/4″ high.
Preserved in good condition (there is a tiny chip at the top of the cudgel the first puppet is holding in its hands), it dates from around 1900.
