"Resting Horses Engler 1873"
Oil painting on canvas representing two saddled horses resting at the edge of a wood accompanied by two dogs. Painting remarkably executed in particular at the level of the coat of the dappled horse as well as in the details of the harnesses! The artist Engler (1800-1878) is referenced in the Akoun as well as in the Benezit specifying that works of this one are preserved in the museum of Clamecy. Canvas presented in a gilt leaf frame.
