Old Convertible Gold Necklace Ruby Tourmaline Beads flag

Object description :

"Old Convertible Gold Necklace Ruby Tourmaline Beads"
Old necklace formed of a triple jaseron mesh triple chain retained by a ratchet clasp allowing it to be worn alone.
This necklace can also be clipped onto the back of an older pendant made of a gold plate finely engraved with arabesques and decorated with applied fine half-pearls, rubies and gold motifs stylizing characters.
A fine baroque pearl is supported in a tassel at the base and can be removed.
A step-cut tourmaline completes the decor within a beaded claw setting.

Period: 20th century
Main material: yellow gold, 750 thousandths, 18 carats, owl hallmark.
Weight of the tourmaline: approximately 1.80 carats.
Total ruby weight: approximately 0.36 carats.
Dimensions of the main bead: 9.5 x 6 mm approximately.
Proportions: Length: approximately 50 cm, width of the chain: approximately 3 mm, height of the pendant: approximately 5 cm, width: approximately 4.4 cm, thickness: approximately 9 mm.
Net weight: 59.3g approx.
Old jewelry - French work from the 1960s for the necklace, much earlier for the pendant which has been transformed.
Our opinion: an old modular piece of jewelry that can be worn in different situations, the hanging part has one of the most refined carvings.
