Late Kachan Dabir, Workshop of Maitre Dabir, around 1920.Velvet rug in silky lamb's wool called Kork on cotton foundations. Beautiful polychromy, ivory field with a large central medallion united with foliage and garlands of polychrome floral palmettes inlaid with a second midnight blue floral with multicolored flowers. Four spandrels with floral bulbs in polychromy. Seven borders, the main one midnight blue with interlacing palmettes of flowers and foliage surrounded by thin stems of flower buds.
Size : 185x145 cm
Condition : poor condition, heavy wear, holes, very damaged edges.
Carpet has been professionally cleaned.
