Object description :

"Pair Of Tournai Porcelain Scalloped Dishes"
Beautiful pair of oval dishes with scalloped edges with polychrome decoration of birds in a landscape. The marli has a blue background pebbled with gold and punctuated by a semi of garlands. Soft porcelain with small fire decoration. Dimensions 23 x 30 cm. In perfect condition, no restorations. Very fine claw in the decor. The porcelain is made in Tournai; the decoration made in The Hague around 1775. In the 1770s, a German craftsman, Antoon Lynker, created a porcelain decoration workshop in The Hague. Not being a manufacturer himself, he bought unpainted parts in Germany but also in Tournai. The good years of this workshop will be brief, because Lynker dies shortly after. Price: 800€, delivery included in Europe Do not hesitate to contact us for further information. www.jadisetnaguere.com
