"Sevres: Bacchante With Xylophone In Biscuit In The Spirit Of The XVIII Eme Century"
Beautiful subject representing a baccanthe with a xylophone, she is draped in the antique style and wears a lion's skin on her arm, as well as a basket of fruit at her feet. The set rests on a blue porcelain base with gold fillets, typical of Sèvres. Stamped by the Royal Manufacture of Sèvres, signed ED and dated 1921 for the statuette and S 1911 HP for the base. Presented in excellent condition, note: some invisible restorations. An identical model without a base is kept in the collections of the Palace of Versailles.
