What is the hand-tufted rug?
Supple, soft and perfectly adapted to contemporary designs, the Hand Tufted rug, also called Hand Tuft or Asian Point, has become a benchmark in the world of designer rugs.
This technique offers the upholsterer a great freedom of manufacture. Tufting is a process using artisanal manufacturing methods, ancestral know-how mainly developed in India and China, and modern weaving tools. The weaving is done by hand, the craftsman implanting the strands of textile, directly in a cotton canvas, a canvas stretched on a vertical loom.
The tufting is carried out using a strand gun following the colors, the design and the different heights of the wicks of the product. The tufting technique makes it possible to produce high quality products and to afford all the eccentricities! Shapes, colors, designs, relief, everything is possible with an exceptional rendering. It is, for example, possible to sculpt carpets, the fiber is then implanted at the maximum height of relief and then sculpted using scissors and razors. This method is also called “Carving”. Carved carpets are truly exceptional pieces and are very popular for their particularly luxurious finished appearance.
On this unique model made by the famous Designer Nini Ferrucci, it is not an ordinary zebra carpet!! Its beautiful polychrome stripes in the center take this rug to a whole new level which gives it stunning impact. The thick and superior quality wool from New Zealand guarantees absolute comfort and softness that has nothing to do with a traditional hand-knotted rug.

Condition : Good overall condition, nevertheless has a color difference in the white stripes which have become beige in some places while remaining homogeneous. Some small brown spots on several parts. In the center wool red slightly marked, small ripple on one edge.
