Nice Bronze from the Vienna School attributed to Franz Xavier Bergman presenting a beribboned man most likely reading the Koran. This bronze has an interesting patina and a nice size allowing it to be presented on your desk or in a pretty showcase. Bergman who was the owner of a Viennese foundry which produced numerous patinated and cold-painted bronzes, oriental, erotic and animal figures, the latter often humanized or whimsical, humorous art objects.
