"19th Century Bronze Sculpture Of Victorian Women"
Bronze sculpture of two women with a child from the 19th century with an inscription on the plaque "Salon 1887". The three figures depicted in this statue give viewers a sense of love for life. Two women with a characteristic Victoria chignon with soft curls are in bronze with a dark patina. They wear a long robe meticulously sculpted by the artist, soft with every fold of the lapel embracing a woman's round, full body. The woman on the left is gently holding a naked child, her arms stretched out in front of her chest to support the weight of the child. The woman on the right has her arm slightly raised to tease the baby and looks at the baby affectionately. Looking at the statue, one can undeniably feel the warm love that the two women have for the child. The pedestal of the statue is supported by a stone base and divided into two parts, one is made of dark wood and the lower part is made of dark red marble. They all create a very harmonious color gradient. From black to brown and red. The statue foot uses a round base to create a connection that enhances the soft and flexible beauty of the statue. Moreover, it is also signed by the sculptor, but it is indecipherable.
