Vietnam Console From The Paris Universal Exhibition 1889

Superb console in exotic wood designed in Vietnam for the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889.
very original in its shape, it has a parallelepiped-shaped top inlaid with a bone decoration representing a lake scene structured by palaces and animated by characters and boats sailing on the waters.
the tray is mounted with miter cuts and rests on a superb base inlaid with patterns in light bone:
fish, bats etc...
the 4 feet surrounding a second tray at the base completely carved and openwork with a dragon.
the set is in perfect condition with a remarkable quality of sculpture and inlays.
excellent condition, no lack or restoration.
very stable, solid and very original, a console from Vietnam that is really out of the ordinary.

maximum length of 96 cm by a width of 30.5 cm and 91 cm high.
