"Louis XV Style Napoleon III Desk"
Superb Napoleon III flat desk in Louis XV style in rosewood and palissander. made during the second half of the 19th century with a lot of finely carved gilded bronzes. The structure and the drawers are made of massive oak. Dark green leather in good condition. The desk has been completely repolished and the bronzes just cleaned to revive their beautiful original gilding. This desk is inspired by the creations of the famous cabinetmaker Charles Cressent who worked during the reign of Louis XV. The dimensions are impressive: 1m80 wide by 90cm and 83cm high. It is double-sided with simulated drawers on the visitor side
