- the first: depicting Hermes, his caduceus, his winged hairstyle laden with gold coins,
- the second representing beautiful Minerva, goddess of medicine and science, with feather and compass, a golden laurel wreath.
These two busts were integrated, no doubt with others, on the woodwork of a luxurious pharmacy from the beginning of 20th century, bases engraved or marked Dieppe are dated 1912.
Condition: bought quite faded, they have been re-waxed, and revived gilding. But we left the flaws that are visible behind the busts: one end of of Hermes' wing hat is missing, one end of Minerva's base too.
Good condition for the rest.
Dimensions: 45cm x 26cm x 17cm. Weight: approximately 8kg each.
