In the margin, on either side of the arms: "Dedicated to Baron de Bezenval Lieutenant General of the King's Armies, // Inspector General of the Swiss and Graubünden, Lieutenant-Colonel of the Swiss Guards, Grand Cross of the Order Royal and Military of St Louis, Honorary Associate-Free of the R.le Academy of Painting &c." Bottom right. : "by his very humble and very Obedient Servant The Great." Small tear in lower margin.
