Small gouache representing a view of the Milanese biscuit store Scapini* in Paris (most certainly at 5 Passage Saint-Pierre), with many characters from the Belle Epoque in front of the windows, in a bronze frame, from the late 19th-early period XXth centuries. This gouache is in good general condition. A note: some tiny jausnissures, slight wear of time, see photos. * Scapini: Italian family from the city of Caluso in Italy, who came to settle in Paris in the 19th century to create a brand of waffle biscuits and Milanese pasta. The grandfather Pierre Scapini, then the son Joseph on the death of his father in 1885, will make the company prosper. They will obtain the silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878 and gold in 1889 in Paris. A dozen stores and branches will open in Paris and the factory is located in Courbevoie.
