Pair Of Portraits, Portrait Of Lady, Portrait Of Man

Set of two portraits forming the pendant of a man and a woman, most certainly a couple in life.
They are represented in bust. We notice the absence of decoration around their portraits and the dark colored background in order to highlight the faces, for the memory, to keep the memory of loved ones
. Kind of paintings often executed for posterity.
The portraits are in black and white except for a slightly pink tint on the lady's shawl.
The woman wears a black dress, with pleats from the shoulders, a lace collar. She is wearing a cap also in lace trimmed under the chin. A wide shawl over the shoulders.
The man is represented in a black coat on a white shirt where the collar appears on a tied black scarf. The frames are keyed.
The paint is slightly cracked, but not damaged, some small gaps (see photos) A small hole to report on the bottom of the painting of the woman. (Very barely visible) as well as two restorations on the back of the canvas.
These two canvases remain in very decent condition.
