Signed lower right Louis-Edmond Mettling (1847-1904) is a painter of genre, portraits, flowers. Belonging to the French school, he studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon, then at those in Paris with Alexandre Cabanel. Please note that the canvas is in good condition but needs to be cleaned.
