Circa 1950-1960 South Tunisia Very long and soft large Berber shawl that can be used as a plaid or bedspread. Undyed sheep's wool, eggshell beige, fully woven tightly on a handloom on the borders of the desert. Piece collected in Matmatah. Frayed woolen fringes on two sides. Note two or three tiny halos (less than 0.5 cm each), otherwise no holes and clean. Very nice condition and soft. Ideal for a cocooning winter to use as a sofa throw or throw for the bed. Dimensions: 300 cm long by 186 cm wide.
