"Bookends In Bronze Reading And Writing"
Pair of Napoleon III period bookends. Two Allegories of the Reading of Scripture. These cherubim are placed with their legs stretched out and crossed, all on a cousin with trimmings. These putti are dressed in a twisted drape. The marbles are cut sides. The carving and patina are incredibly fine. On the reverse, we can read the inscription: bronze honegger Lyon watchmaking. Possible delivery not included in the price.
