There was a time when France was influential and radiant. This exquisite testimony to our cultural history reminds us of it. France is honored by the most prestigious European porcelain factory of the time. Indeed, declined from the fashionable works of Watteau, this cup and its saucer are illustrated with scenes carried out with delicacy and elegance on the theme of Love and Marivaudage, with a gold thread on the lips and heels, and on the marlis interiors a sophisticated gold frieze. Inside the sorbet, in the center, a flower painted in the traditional way (Holzschnitt-Blumen). The very fine handle of the cup, all in complexity, has an animated and baroque shape.
Mark with crossed swords in underglaze blue and the number 5 in gold (designating the service to which it belonged) - 18th century - circa 1745-1749.
