"Emile Bourgeois Porcelain Sauceboat"
Sauceboat with its lid from the Maison "ceramic deposit" by Emile Bourgeois (1832 -1926), late 19th century, decor with barbeau. Emile Bourgeois created several luxury ceramic stores in Paris and Marseille, including the first, the "Grand Depot" in 1863. He thus allowed the spread of new artists of the moment in this field with an international reputation. Note a slight wear to the gilding, otherwise immaculate condition.
