"Namji Doll, Cameroon"
It consists of a very schematic body surmounted by a small geometric head, in wood with the legs and arms spread symmetrically as recommended by the aesthetic canons of dolls of this ethnic group. The doll is adorned with glass beads . The namji dolls are made by blacksmiths. Once decorated with cowrie and bronze beads, they become the child substitute for sterile women who carry them on their backs, feed them and take care of them as if child this one is small but responds well to the aesthetic canons of namji provenance:; ex collection Michel renaudeau (travel photographer) France
