The sailor, probably a fisherman, poses standing, pipe in his mouth, he holds under his arm a small barrel probably of rum. He wears a pompom cap, a white scarf and high boots, almost waders in front of a docked sailboat. A lighthouse looms in the background.

Good condition, cleaning would give it more luminosity
