Éloi-Noël Béraud (1875-1957) is a French painter who signed his works with many names, the best known of which are Antoine Bouvard and Marc-Aldine. We mainly know his views of Venice influenced by Félix Ziem. Our painting, very impressionistic in its manner, is a rare and very attractive example of his early works. The colors and the light vibrate there thanks to small touches, multiple and of frank colors.
