Exceptional and Rare cartel from the 18th century. Louis XVI period in bronze gilded with mercury and finely chiseled. The enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, flanked by two fluted pilasters with ram's heads, surmounted by two armillary spheres and a winged child accompanied by a rooster. The lower part decorated with a console with volute and garland, neoclassical vase and frieze of posts; The dial signed by Royer Hger du Roy according to the Court. Louis XVI period, around 1770. H: 75 cm, W: 33 cm Provenance: Former collection of André Saint at the Château de Sainte-Mesme. Note: movement under review. The gilding is exceptional, we preferred to leave it in its original state. Small chip on the enamel of the dial, at the level of the crown. Observation: To be compared to the works of the famous Bronzier, (Robert Osmond) (1711 - 1789)
