These two oils on sheet metal dated 1928 and signed with a name that is difficult to identify are however, unlike their painter, perfectly recognizable! They represent two places that only lovers of Périgord and Dordogne know...
On the first panel, it is indeed the prehistoric site of Ruth, in Périgord near Tursac which is painted. In this thousand-year-old place where you can admire carved stones, a few Merovingian tombs are still present, proof of a perennial occupation of the place by our distant ancestors.
On the second panel, you can see a view of Le Bugue, a small village in the Dordogne where the Vénère flows peacefully, sliding under the aptly named Bugue bridge.
The framed set is in very good condition.
