"Miniature Early 20th Century."
This miniature is painted in gouache, it represents an elegant woman from the 1900s. She wears a collar on her shoulders which must be made of fox, an animal whose fur was all the rage at the time, her blouse is closed by a brooch set with this which could be diamonds and her skillfully arranged hairstyle is held back by a knot. The frame lined with purple velvet presents in the center a bezel of gilded brass and chiselled around the perimeter of a frieze of water leaves. The back is equipped with a foot that unfolds to be able to place the frame, and a ring if you prefer to hang it. Period late 19th or early 20th century. Signed FCL Lower right. Frame dimensions 15 cm x 11.5 cm. Dimension seen 5.3 cm x 4.3 cm.
