"Charles Léandre Portrait Charging"
Charging portrait of a man from the end of the 19th century by Charles Léandre (1862-1934), one of the best-known caricaturists of this period. It must be possible to identify the model among the personalities of the time by consulting his engraved work or by describing the annotations on the back. The drawing is signed lower middle and dated 90, framed in its original frame, a natural wooden stick, measures 14.2 x 10.2 cm and bears annotations on the cardboard backing of its frame. Some foxing is to be noted, visible in the photographs.
