Object description :

"Large Bronze Of A Bow Hunter, Signed Gauquier, XIX Eme Century"
Important 19th century bronze representing a bow hunter in full swing, carrying a quiver and his bow armed with an arrow, a partridge at his feet.
very fine carving and carving finesse with a very beautiful medal-coloured patina.
bears a foundry stamp and Gauquier'ssignature on the terrace.
very good condition, just an old restoration at the front of the arrow.
Very nice rendering of the muscles and the expressive face with a slender wolf in the attitude of the hunter.
