Pendulum Louis XVI Magic Lantern Children Gilt Bronze Marble Roque XVIIIè flag

Object description :

"Pendulum Louis XVI Magic Lantern Children Gilt Bronze Marble Roque XVIIIè"
Rare finely chiseled gilt bronze clock called "The Magic Lantern", representing two children surrounding the dial inserted in a lantern, resting on a base with a balustrade with a blue tinted glass background, itself on a white marble base, enamelled dial signed Roques* in Paris, from the Louis XVI 18th century period. This clock is in very good condition and is of exceptional quality. Dial and movement signed by the watchmaker Joseph-Léonard Roque (received master in 1770, died after 1789). It works, we have the pendulum but not the key. This model is referenced in the work of P. Kjellberg "Encyclopédie de la pendule française". A note: small slit in a blue glass on the right side (hardly visible), some dirt on the bronze, scratches and wear of time, see photos.
