"Regency Style Silver Bowl."
This Regency style bowl is richly decorated with friezes of leaf scrolls and palmettes on a matte background. The ears of the bowl with contours take up a classic decoration of large shells and braces, they end in a finial. The lid is topped with a large molded button engraved with an antique profile. The whole is underlined by a frieze of gadroons. The display bears, in addition to the neck brace, the hallmark of Martial Gauthier, Master Goldsmith listed between 1888 and 1902 at 39 rue Rambuteau in Paris. Diameter of the display: 24 cm, Width at the handles of the bowl: 30.5 cm. Weight: 1350g.
