Patinated bronze proof, Napoleon III, signed on the embankment H 65 cm Good condition, superb patina. Eugène LAURENT regularly participated in the Salon of French artists from 1881 and he quickly acquired a good reputation as a classical sculptor through his classical subjects, his bust portraits of celebrities. He created public monuments, such as his Jacques Callot in Nancy and his François Boucher at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris.
