"Cabinet Called "
Cabinet called "Bargueño" in polychrome and gilded carved wood and bone Spain XVII th century. The front of the cabinet is made up of ten drawers around a central leaf separated by crosspieces in gilded wood with an eventful sculpture, the sides are decorated with fittings and an original bronze handle. The drawers carved with gilded arches and twisted bone columns are adorned with enamelled floral tiles on a blue and red background enhanced with arabesques, each of the drawers has two wrought iron pull knobs. The leaf reveals two small drawers in carved and gilded wood decorated with enamelled tiles. It rests on a 19th century curved arcature base formed of fluted baluster-shaped columns and twisted columns surmounted by finely carved gilded wooden lion heads. (A few bites on one foot) Original lock working with two keys. Drawers mounted in walnut, walnut and fir box. Polychromy and gilding with original gold leaf in very good condition (slight old retouching)
