TSUBA, Japanese sword guard
Japan, Edo period (1603 - 1868)
Height : 7,5cm - Width : 7cm - H. Nakago-ANA : 2,3cm


Moko gata in shibuichi with nanako bottom ; chiseled in taka zogan and hira bori of foaming waves inlaid with gilt copper, with a turtle. Set on the sea, a junk in half round hump, sail to the wind, carries four characters. In the air, a stork looks at the junk.
On the reverse side, decoration in suite.
The edges are chiseled in a tortoiseshell style and inlaid with gilt bronze.
Good condition.
