"Louis XV Console In Golden Wood, Eighteenth Century Period"
Very elegant Louis XV wall console with crossbow facade in gilded wood with openwork decoration from the 18th century. Topped with a Carrara marble top with corbin beak, its crossbow facade is remarkably sculpted with acanthus leaves and largely openwork interlacing, the side crosspieces receive the same decoration in a movement of widening towards the back. It rests on two curved feet adorned with acanthus leaves, shells and foliage, they are joined by a spacer of interlacing centered with large rosette acanthus leaves. Its very light, slender, turbulent lines give a lot of character to this console which will find its place in both classic and contemporary interiors.
Good condition, restorations of use and maintenance, beautiful patina of the old gilding (traces of wear, some retouching), posterior marble.
