"Console In Bramble Mahogany, Empire Period - Early Nineteenth"
Console from the Empire period, in burl mahogany veneer, topped with a small Belgian granite marble extracted from the Soignies quarry in Belgium. The belt has a drawer opening by a reserve placed below. This piece of furniture consists of two columns dressed in brass rings and mahogany capitals at the top, as well as molded collars at the bottom. The whole rests on small galette feet offset at the front and rectangular in section at the back. The base is made of two symmetrical burl mahogany elements. The strengths of this console are, in particular, its quality of manufacture and its sober lines.
