"Chinese Jewel In Gilt Bronze Inlaid With Stones."
Brooch or fibula? Extra thick cast copper alloy. Mercury gilding. The gilding is very thick and very well preserved, it is only worn at the ends of the reliefs as can be seen in the photos. Three black stones are inlay. The stones are very worn by shocks or degraded by time? Two holes are drilled on either side of the center indicating that a fastener is missing. The correct color is that of the first photo where we see the greenish gilding. Interesting object certainly centuries old. 93x30mm.
