"Cast Bronze Buddha Bust Inlaid With Gold."
Cast bronze bust of Buddha. The head is full and the rest of the bust empty is very thick, almost 1 cm in some places, the object is very heavy. The cast and carving-engraving are beautiful. The mouth is encrusted with a reddish yellow metal that has not oxidized over time, probably gold, I can check and test the metal on request. The eyes were probably also inlaid as there are 2 deep incised lines which are now filled with traces of white color. The ears are inlaid with a yellow metal that has oxidized, probably bronze. The upper flame is removable, it is hollow and is held by a wooden tenon. Good condition, excellent old patina, secular bronze. Probably Siam Ayutthaya period or earlier. Has been cut at the diaphragm level. The lower part lost. Height about 45cm
