"The Eucharist of the Apostles", oil on canvas attributed to Jacques Stella (Lyon 1596 - Paris 1657) and workshop. Delicate composition imbued with Atticism, in the characteristic style of the works produced by the artist, painter to Kings Louis XIII and Richelieu, in the first half of the 17th century. Christ gives the Eucharist to his apostles gathered around him in the cenacle. The colorful characters, surrounded by a swarm of angels and precious objects animate this decor of classical architecture. Very good state of preservation. Old frame (XVII / XVIII) in gilded wood. Dimensions: 72.5 X 58 cm with the frame, 60.5 X 58 cm without.
