"Napoleon III Furniture At Support Height - Nineteenth"
NAPOLEON III chest of drawers in rosewood, rosewood and amaranth marquetry and veneer. A beige marble 'Floral Lunel' from Nord-Pas de Calais, is embedded on its top. It opens with a drawer and a door, the latter arched with a central medallion molded in bronze and decorated with fine marquetry. It is richly ornamented with bronzes throughout: sculptures of children on the uprights as well as mouldings, falls, mascarons... The interior, measuring 88cm in height and 82cm in width, is in mahogany. It is lined with 2 shelves placed on racks. They are also fitted and measure 30cm deep at the sides and 34cm in the middle. Its rear is in oak, and it is removable by a return screw. ******* Period: Napoleon III - 2nd half of the 19th century. Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and varnished finish. Removal of bronzes, cleaning and refitting. Locks in working order. width 90cm, depth of the sides 40cm - from the middle 45cm, height to the marble 115cm. Ref: 120R
