Rare Eighteenth Century Corner On Its Limestone Base

Rare and interesting corner cupboard from the 2nd half of the 19th century in oak resting on its original limestone base.
a superb piece of furniture, the limestone base is heavily molded and has a rounded niche in the front. the upper part is in oak and cherry.
the side and door panels are in oak and the crosspieces are in cherry.
the mixture of the two woods offers a beautiful contrast whose marriage with the stone base is happiest.
the doors are paneled and fitted with miter cuts.
the wrought iron knobs and hinges are original.
the facade opens with the help of four doors releasing storage shelves which have been redone for safety for solidity.
as this corner was placed in the woodwork of an apothecary, the backs have been redone identically. the corner at least the wooden part has been completely covered with xylophene for safety in the workshop even if it has not been attacked by xylophagous insects.
